Inside The Haiti Earthquake

The game is so ‘real’. It’s like you are really there to witness the aftermath of the vicious earthquake. The game really gives me beyond what I could imagine happen there. I could feel the victims’ pain and frustrations. While playing this game, I feel much more grateful with what I have and I want to stop whining over small matter that discomfort me because I realized that there are people out there who actually does not have the access to even the most basic human’s needs such as food, clothes, medicine and shelters. While playing this game I chose the role of aids worker. I never knew that it involve so many decisions and even some unexpected turn of event throughout the game.

For this game, I think we can use this it to conduct narrative essay. Students can choose which role that they want to play as. They are required to include all the decision that they had made throughout the entire game.

Developing Thinking Skills

Evaluating
Students make judgement about, reflect on, and evaluate their writing.

The teacher will ask the students whether the internet bring more benefit than harm to the users. Then, the teacher will ask the students to side whether they agree with the statement or not. The students must state their reasons for the choice they made.
